These are my lovely Steve Madden shoes. Aren’t they so pretty ? (minus the chew marks all over them now). I paid $90 for them. I NEVER pay $90 for any clothing items. My favorite places to shop are Wal-Mart (yes, I ROCK the Miley Cyrus clothes and I know I am not the only one. C – you better not leave me hangin’), Target, Ross Dress for Less, Garage Sales, and oh yes…Echo Consignment Shop. There is just something so exhilarating about finding a good deal. But…for my 30th birthday, I decided to push the envelope and go to DSW Shoe Warehouse to find “the perfect shoes” for my big day . It WAS my 30th birthday after all….so, I splurged. I am sure you can only imagine my dismay when I came home and found that I had accidentally left Nash out when we left for school….resulting in a complete “chew fest” all over my lovely, beautiful, shiny, EXPENSIVE Steve Madden shoes.
***Pause for side story: this morning I did not wake up until 8:40 am. No this is not normal. No I am not lazy. I was up all night with a screaming little baby with an ear infection….so, when my ”alarm clock” (aka my four-year old) did not go off because he somehow figured out how to turn the wii on by himself and chose to play the wii for two hours straight instead of waking his mom up, IT COMPLETELY THREW OUR DAY OFF! We need to leave our house by 8:55 to get Easton to school. I woke up by 8:40 am. I had to get three kids (of which two were still asleep) dressed and out the door in 15 minutes….yeah right. We were 10 minutes late. Which means I have to unpack all three kids (IN THE SNOW might I add) and walk everyone into the school so that I can sign Easton in as tardy. AWESOME start to the day. So, needless to say….in the rush to get out the door, I forgot to put Nash up before I left..
Back to the shoes. Apaprently when Nash was perusing my closet for which pair of shoes to annihilate, this is how his thought process went: “Hmmm….should I eat the $2 pair of flip-flops from Wal-Mart? NO. How about the $5 pair of shoes from Payless? DON’T THINK SO. What about the nasty old tennis shoes that she never wears? NOPE. OH! YES! I know! How about the $90 pair of Steve Madden shoes? PERFECT!” Here is a picture of my “new and improved” shoes thanks to Nash….and some more pictures to tell the story of what else I found when I got home.

****P.S. - It is now 6:00 pm and my husband just got home, Thank God. It has just been one of those days. I would also like to admit that all my children (except for Easton who had to go to school) are still in their pajamas. Does it make me a bad mom if I just leave them in the same pajamas that they wore all last night and all today for bedtime tonight? I don’t think so, right? I am just going to tell myself that. If you feel differently than you aren’t allowed to comment on this blog and you aren’t allowed to ever read my blog again because I don’t like you. Like I said, it’s just been one of those days.
