First Day of Kindergarten

Well my baby boy started Kindergarten a few weeks ago.  I will have you know that I made it out alive even though I was experiencing some serious Kindergarten Blues in the days and weeks leading up to the actual “big day.”  Here are some pictures from his first day.  Daddy stayed home to take...

That last picture put a knot in my throat….Not sure i could have done it!! You amaze me!!!

By the way, I have to ask…so what’s in the back packs? I notice the girls have them too. =)

I am sure that was so hard! I still remember my mom crying when she dropped me off and I am amazed you were able to keep them back in front of Easton. Umm, should we not talk about what a heartbreaker he will be?!! He is precious! That cute little smile is too much!

Okay, my heart literally skipped a beat when I saw him climbing onto the bus! I’m proud of you for taking this so well…I’ve been trying to figure out how I can homeschool them without letting Brock know!!! (oh and Easton is totally rockin’ the Zandy Bands!!)

Too precious!! Love the new casa too!

First Haircuts.

We took Emmy and Cohen to get their first haircuts a week or so ago.  Yes, my daugher is almost 4 and my son is 1 1/2 and they have never had a haircut.  No, not because I am all sentimental about cutting their hair.  Mainly I was just putting it off because I was...

I have the most precious grand-babies in the world. Easton is so handsome and Emmy Grace is such a little princess. Cohen is too cute for words, even though mama says he has a temper, I don’t want to believe it.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again . . . you have some beautiful kiddos! I didn’t realize that Emmy has never had a haircut. I love the pic of her kissing Mike. So precious!

Missy

Love these pics! =) Especially the one of easton…very cool E! Such a beautiful family!! Haircuts are hard…meaning getting the kids to cooperate and getting the hairdresser to understand and follow through with what you want. They chopped Noah’s hair a little too short.

Funny…This is the exact scenario we had with Lane on the day of his first haircut. I was a wreck trying to find a place that specializes in kiddos (thinking it would ba a good experience)all the while ignoring Mark and his suggestion to use his barber. The haircut was alright, but the experience not so much. NOW we go to the barber Mark suggested from the get go. He is SO awesome with little kids (ours anyway, haven’t seen him cut any other kids). So if you are in need of a reference for next time let me know. Sad how haricuts dramatically change the look of our kids. They look so much older now!!

Gina

Ok….I need to see them IMMEDIATELY! It’s been way too long if a post about haircuts is making me tear up! Let’s get together soon.

Your kiddos melt my heart. Seriously.

A Day in the Life of: A Trip to Lowe’s

Welcome to another edition of “A Day in the Life of” – a little portion of my blog dedicated to documenting this life of ours (which is why I originally started this little blog) and most of all, to remember the craziness that was our life when we had three children ages five and under. ...

Carissa – I think your smille looks great and your wavy hair looks pretty in this last pic. I also think this post was hilarious and laughed. A LOT. And our wedding photographer was Luke Davis from Siloam Springs, AR – we loved him! Evan went to college with him. His website is http://www.mainstreetstudios.net .

Kenna

Hilarious! I love that you kept snapping pics even when things were going South. One day they will laugh at these.

You made it home in one piece. I call that a success. We braved Walmart last night…should have had my camera with me. Every outing is an adventure.

Gina

Is it weird that I was looking at how precious they are in every pic….even the ones where they’re crying? Love those babies!

We always draw attention when out in public. Both my kids have just learned to say “hi” and they seemingly scream this at everyone in the stores until they say hello back to them. Recently, I made the mistake of putting blackberries in the cart with my one-year old son…needless to say he opened them and some went in the mouth but most fell through the holes of the cart and got smooshed all over the floor.
Glad to know I am not the only one. Your children just get cuter and cuter!

Missy

oh how I love the “a day in the life of” post!!!! I’m now going to read the post…I was just so excited to see there was one to entertain me tonight! =)

Stacee

Thanks for the entertaining post! I needed that since I am on house arrest (AKA bedrest)!

Ahhh, I needed a ‘day in the life” of the miller family!!

I would love to know what the other Lowe’s customers were thinking as you photographed your children fighting with a very fancy camera. Hilarious.

And yes, my little darling had 2 meltdowns this week – Whole Foods & Target. She may be tiny but she is LOUD (enough so that all other customers gave me the “go to hell you child abuser” look) Fun times!

Family Resemblance

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my sister and her family were visiting us this past week from New York City.  I have always said that her son and Easton look alike at times.  She snapped this picture of them playing together and although they are hanging upside down and being goofy, I think...

Letter Jackets & Love

We went over to our friend’s house for dinner this weekend.  Easton was a little excited because they have an older daughter named Ella and he is smitten, TO SAY THE LEAST.  He disappeared to her room the second we got there and sat upstairs watching “iCarly” with her on her bed for at least...

He’s going to be such a heart breaker!

Mike

What can I say? He is just a chip off the old block. He likes older women just like his father!

Yes it is Lori! They are good friends of ours. How do you guys know them?!?!

Lori Henry

Is this Ella Wilson? We love their family!!! He has great taste!!
